Celebrating our partners: A quick look at Burris Racing!

Here at Factory QRC we have built a lot of great relationships with our vendors over the years. One of the earliest vendors we did business with was Burris Racing. In the mid 1980’s, when Factory QRC was first getting on its feet, Bob & Robert Carrel went down to Southern California and visited with the guys at Burris Racing. They immediately developed a great relationship that still holds true to this day.

I got the chance to speak with the Vice President of Burris Racing, Kurt Burris, for a few moments and get some insight as to what has been going on recently in the Burris Racing world.

“2018 got off to a really strong start for us. We had a lot of business in the Midwest and on the East Coast early in the year. Business in the West started out slower due to some bad weather but has since really began to pick up.”

When asked why he thought a driver should use a Burris Racing tire over any other competitor’s tires, Kurt’s answer was simple.

“Kart tires are all we do, it is 100% of our focus. We understand the market, not just from the supply side but the racing side as well. Like Factory QRC, we have a vested interest in the long-term health and longevity of the sport. For these other tire companies, outlaw karts are just another revenue stream. If karting goes away, it won’t hurt their business. Here at Burris Racing, we know that we must put out a top-notch product, and we know what it takes to do so because it is our sole focus as a business.”
